If you like the nightlife this place is for you, as the apartment sits directly on top of a night club that will keep y Positive: The host Shey had great communication and immediately attended to replacing a broken clothes drying rack that was needed for our washing. The property was spacious enough for four people. Ear plugs were Provided for free! Negative: We knew that this property was located in Liverpool’s entertainment district and were in for a bit of noise, but we didn’t know that the apartment was located directly above a nightclub and bar. The music and street noise went every night until about 6.00am and then the street cleaners came in! Even with the free ear plugs and white noise machine provided, sleep was very difficult. The apartment lacked some basic cooking utensils ie a frypan to cook breakfast and as stated on other reviews the showers are slippery and there are no towel rails to hang up wet towels. The curtains in the bedroom facing the road didn’t reach the ground meaning the the flashing lights from the night club would come into the room.

An excellent location for a large group of young people. Positive: I stress that the property was exceptional value and very spacious. We are two older friends who particularly wanted separate bedrooms with separate bathrooms with some kitchen facility. The location was central and we were prepared for noise. In event we did not prepare much food but it was very well equipped and clean. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The communication from Shey was excellent. Negative: The showers were very slippery. There were no crab rails or shelves in the shower. This is not just an issue for the elderly. There were no towel rails. Despite previous feedback mentioning this issue there was nowhere to hang things. The wardrobe was full of bedding for the sofa beds, some of which I removed, in order to use the three hangers. No wardrobe or pegs at all in the second bedroom. No second bedside table or light. The apartment is huge and these considerations are inexpensive to rectify. One of the warehouse windows does not fully close and the blackout curtains do not reach the floor. The windows are filthy but I imagine at three stories up this is difficult to rectify. It is indeed very noisy especially if there is a live band next door but be also prepared for some morning activity from refuge and cleaning contractors..
